     Are Pringles a Crisp?

On the 14th of January Mrs Robertson came to talk to the primary 5 classes. Her speech was “Is a Pringle a Crisp?” We all got to eat a Pringle and a Crisp to see what the difference was!! The company that makes Pringles say they are a snack so they would not have to pay VAT. The government said Pringles is a crisp, because crisps have to pay VAT. They took it to court to see if Pringles are a crisp or a snack. We found out that the court said Pringles are a crisp!! We also learnt that self employed people get more money than a normal employee, but have to save some money to pay their taxes twice a year. Normal employees pay their taxes before they get their wages.

Money Week

P5M are hard at work designing and making A.T.M machines

for their finance fortnight challenge.

It takes a lot of concentration to ensure that they

are interactive, effective and fun to use!

We think we have been very successful and learned how

to keep accounts and can now go to the cash machine for money!
